GUESS EXEC: `PRETTY SURE' DESIGN COPIED
LOS ANGELES - The Marciano vs. Nakash trial over control of Guess, Inc., focused on semantics Thursday, as Guess president Maurice Marciano said he was "pretty sure" but did not "know" that confidential Guess design information was used in specific instances in the Jordache line.
The testimony came in response to questions from Howard Weitzman, chief attorney for the Nakash brothers, owners and operators of Jordache Enterprises, Inc. Weitzman began cross-examination late Wednesday afternoon, as proceedings entered the fourth week of what is expected to be a three-month trial.
