DAVID SABEY IS SUING F&N'S PRIOR OWNERS

SEATTLE (FNS) -- David A. Sabey, who acquired the Frederick & Nelson (F&N) department store chain 15 months ago, has sued its former owners, claiming they misrepresented the chain's finances and the physical condition of the stores.

Sabey, a Seattle real estate developer and investor, is seeking unspecified damages and the return of the purchase price of securities in F&N Acquisition Corp. F&N Acquisitions, a group of local investors, acquired the chain from Batus, Inc., in 1986. It has been estimated that Sabey paid $300 ...
