POLO FORMS SEPARATE MEN'S UNIT
NEW YORK - Polo/Ralph Lauren Corp. has formed a separate men's division in an organizational restructuring of the company into two operating groups.
The two new groups are the Polo/Ralph Lauren Men's Co. and the Ralph Lauren Retail and Licensing Co.
Peter Strom, formerly president and chief operating officer, has been named to the newly created position of vice-chairman of Polo/Ralph Lauren Corp. He continues to report to Ralph Lauren, chairman and chief executive officer of the privately held company.
Michael J. Newman has been named president and chief operating officer of the Polo/Ralph Lauren Men's Co. He will oversee men's sales, finance, operations production and related departments.
