NEW YORK -- John Hoeller has joined Barneys New York as senior vice-president of store operations.
Hoeller, who will report to Barneys' executive vice-president Robert Pressman, will be responsible for the two Manhattan units as well as the national Barneys New York stores.
Before joining Barneys, Hoeller was vice-president and general manager of the Manhattan unit of Abraham & Straus. Prior to that he was senior vice-president of operations at Batus Retail Group.
In addition, Sylvia Hemingway has joined Barneys as vice-president of marketing. She will report to executive vice-president Gene Pressman.
Before joining Barneys, Hemingway was director of trade and fragrance advertising at Tiffany & Co.
