NEW YORK -- Scovill Fasteners, Inc., Clarkesville, Ga., has signed a definitive purchase agreement to acquire the Dot fasteners product line from TRW, Inc., according to John S. Eastburn, Jr., Scovill's president.

Eastburn told DNR Scovill plans to stay in all of Dot's product lines and intends to consolidate all of Dot's manufacturing operations in the 300,000-square-foot Scovill plant in Georgia. The consolidation will start in about two months, he said. Dot is located in Cambridge, Mass.

He said key Dot personnel have agreed to join Scovill.
