CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Socks that are not too fancy to wear with jeans, yet fashionable enough to wear with sport coats and slacks, is the way Bob Jackman, president of Neuville Industries, describes its new Timber Creek by Wrangler line.

Timber Creek is the latest outdoor casual cotton tops and pants line with a relaxed fit that jeans-giant Wrangler launched for fall '91.

Test-marketing of Timber Creek socks is slated at several key mass merchants for fall, and a full line is expected to be ready for national distribution by spring '93. The socks will consist of cotton-blend yarns with some Lycra spandex and will feature rib and cable formats with various textures of fashion colors.
