Men's clothing designers are entering into licensing deals with manufacturers whereby they will offer quality designer labels at affordable prices. Designer Bill Burns notes that despite the success of his first line, which was sold at Nordstrom at prices ranging from $600 to $795, his new fall 1993 line will sell for between $450 and $595. Designer Alan Flusser also says that he intends to use the finest European fabrics to make affordable, quality suits.
NEW YORK - Price is driving the new wave of designer licensing in the tailored clothing market.
But now it's "low" prices.
