Top Macy's executives released details of a five-year business plan for the department store chain that includes efforts to strengthen Macy's strong market position in higher-quality men's clothing. In its markets, Macy's has a 40% share in upper-moderate men's clothing and a 35% share in better clothing, figures Macy's executives would like to increase. More space is being devoted to men's clothing. I. Magnin stores will be targeting younger customers with lower prices and planner positions have been added to coordinate between buyers and individual stores.
