Designers mirror look of the '70s. (sunglasses fashion for 1993)

The 1993 fashion for sunglasses is a return to the 1970's and wire-rimmed round and oval lenses. The look made popular by John Lennon is regaining popularity and Eagle Eyewear is licensing with Bag One Arts Inc to produce the John Lennon Collection of eyewear. Calvin Klein's collection will also contain the wire-rimmed glasses and have mirrored lenses in a variety of shades, from silver and gold to teal and rose. Alexander Julian Inc's Bruce Tilly attributes the popularity of the wire-rimmed sunglasses to their comfort.
