NEW YORK - Who knows? It could lead to the year of the Bunny Playboy Enterprises, in a joint venture with the Chinese Government, has opened a factory in Shantou, China, to produce and distribute Playboy branded apparel and accessories.

The Playboy licensee, Chaifa Investment Ltd., will market men's and women's casual clothing, denim, nylon sports bags, athletic shoes, outerwear and activewear, all bearing the familiar bow-tied bunny logo. Chaifa has been Playboy's licensee in Hong Kong since 1988, and introduced Playboy products to China in April 1991.
