NEW YORK -- The first Barneys New York outlet will open Saturday at Woodbury Common, the upscale factory outlet mall located in Central Valley, N.Y., about an hour north of New York.
Barneys is one of 37 new tenants at the center, which includes St. John Knits, Kenneth Cole, London Fog, I.B. Diffusion, J. Crew, Levi's and Nike. The average size of most of the stores in the section is 4,500 feet.
The Barneys outlet will be 10,400 square feet and will sell men's and women's apparel, shoes and accessories. Half of the mix will be men's wear. It will serve as a clearance center for end-of-the-season merchandise. In addition, Barneys will shop the market specifically for goods for the store.
