Adolph Coors Co. has new button on tap. (shirt buttons)(Apparel and Home Technology)

ACX Technologies, a spin-off of Coors Brewing Co, claims it has developed an unbreakable shirt button called Diamond Z. The button is made from zirconia, which does not harm the environment and has exceptional shatter-resistant qualities. The new button will be featured on dress shirts from Nordstrom and Ike Behar for fall 1993. ACX has targeted the new button for use in high-end apparel because of its high cost, around 8 to 10 cents each versus one cent for a plastic button. The Diamond Z will be marketed for its unbreakable qualities and environmental benefits.
