Leading department stores and clothing stores are profiled, and photographs of each company's top executives are included. Pertinent information for each firm is given, such as the company's volume of sales and its different stores and top executives. Twenty-one stores are included, such as Wal-Mart Stores, Inc, Dayton Hudson Corp, Federated Department Stores, Inc, Nordstrom Inc and Edison Brothers Stores Inc.

The lineup at the nation's major department, specialty stores and chains changes so quickly, it's often hard to keep track of the players. Here, then, is the latest update on some of the country's top branded retailers and the executives who call the shots.
