NEW YORK (FNS) -- Adidas AG, the German athletic apparel and footwear manufacturer, has settled a trademark infringement suit against two Soho retailers.
Adidas sued the retailers last November in federal court here for unauthorized use of its registered three strip, or trefoil, mark.
Robert W. Erb, counsel for Adidas, said Jamco Ventures Corp., which operates as Union, located at 172 Spring Street, and K-Off Ltd., which operates Big Drop, 552 La Guardia Place, agreed to stop selling unauthorized Adidas products and to pay damages.
Hod Hovav, owner/president of K-Off, confirmed the settlement and said he paid $1,500 in damages, but complained that Adidas missed the boat by going after the retailers. "They should have gone after the...
