Men's denim shorts are selling well in spring 1995 at mass market retailers. Shorts with five pockets in the walk short style featuring stonewashed denim are the top seller followed by seersucker and linen. Wrinkle-resistant men's shorts sold well in 1994 at Macy's. Casual lifestyles and longer shorts selling periods have increased shorts sales at discount stores. Stores in the Northeastern US have not sold many shorts in spring 1995 because of the cold weather.
ATLANTA (FNS) - Cotton twill is taking a holiday in early spring shorts business in the mass market, where denim is the hot ticket in this new year-round category.
