Giorgio Armani S.p.A. is opening two new retail outlets, one in Australia and the other in France, as part of its overall strategy, which includes 26 more openings planned for 1996. Armani is opening a store in Sydney, Australia, in anticipation of the 2000 Olympics. The designer house is also opening an Emporio Armani store in Paris, France, in a deal with Groupe Publicis.
NEW YORK (FNS) - Giorgio spreads his global retail net ever farther. At the end of October Armani opened its first freestanding store in Australia, and last month leased the space held the last 30 years by the first of Paris's remarkable Le Drugstore group on the Left Bank for Emporio Armani.
