Activewear firms banking on increased brand interest. (Super Show)

Men's activewear is expected to report double-digit growth in 1996, according to exhibitors at Super Show. The 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta, GA, and the debut of Major League Soccer in spring 1996 are expected to boost sales. Branded sportswear from Nike, Adidas and Reebok is also expected to perform well with men's activewear and accessories sales growth between 20% and 30%.

ATLANTA (FNS) - Manufacturers of activewear are projecting double-digit growth in their men's wear business this year, defying the industry's more conservative prediction of 5 percent growth in all activewear.
