Attendees at the annual Textile Distributors Association shared a common nervousness that their jobs were gradually being phased out of importance over time. Many have noticed subtle changes in the textile industry in recent years, with a trend toward manufacturers and buyers doing more direct selling than before. The importance of cost-containment and adaptation to change were stresses by conference speakers.
