Just a handful of textile execs get pay hikes in '95.

A sluggish year in the textile industry was reflected by the fact that relatively few textile company executives received pay raises in 1995. Unchanged or declining executive salaries reflect the poor earnings recorded by most textile mills in 1995. The highest paid CEOs were, in declining order, Burlington Industries' George W. Henderson III at $2.04 million, Westpoint Steven's Holcombe T. Green Jr. at $1.99 million, and Springs Industries Walter Y. Elisha at $1.29 million.

NEW YORK (FNS) - For the third year in a row, pay raises were generally hard to come by for the top executives at textile mills, reflecting continued tough conditions in the market.
