NEW YORK - Concord Fabrics Inc. said Wednesday that it is restructuring its woven fabrics business, including de-emphasizing certain aspects of its woven apparel operations and focusing on other, more profitable areas of its business.

According to Earl Kramer, president, Concord will increase its focus on its knitted fabrics and Concord House businesses.

The company said it will take a third-quarter charge of "not more than" $750,000 related to the restructuring.

Concord said it will phase out areas that "don't have growth and earnings potential," including some of its imported and domestic woven print and solid-colored fabrics that are sold to U.S. and offshore apparel manufacturers.
