CK Calvin Klein names Tom Murray president.(Brief Article)

NEW YORK -- The CK Calvin Klein division of Calvin Klein Inc. has tapped women's bridge-sportswear firm Tahari Inc. for its new president.

Tom Murry, Tahari president since 1991, assumes his new post next Tuesday, succeeding Denise Seegal, who left CK to become president of Liz Claiborne Inc.

"My men's wear experience is limited," Murry, 45, told DNR. "But I have the fundamentals of the business and I will be surrounded by good men's wear professionals."

In a statement, Gabriella Forte, president and chief operating officer of Calvin Klein Inc., said, "This is an important time for our CK Calvin Klein division as we add new products to the CK lifestyle and roll out a global network of freestanding CK retail stores."
