NEW YORK -- Ralph Lauren is expanding his luxury Purple Label collection for fall '97 to include sportswear in a classic English bespoke style.
This confirms a report in DNR (Oct. 29, Page 2).
Featuring ultra-luxe cashmere outerwear retailing for up to $3,800, the sportswear will be unveiled by appointment during the New York Men's Shows, Feb. 4 to 7, at Polo headquarters, 650 Madison Avenue.
John Idol, group president and chief operating officer of domestic licensing at Polo Ralph Lauren, said distribution will be very exclusive, limited to only 25 stores in the U.S. and 10 internationally, including about 10 Polo stores.
