Moe Ginsburg president and CEO Paul Ginsburg says that his decision to open a 10,000-sq-ft Outlet Clearance Center on the top floor of the venerable men's clothing store was an attempt to cater to the needs of customers who were not ready to trade up. Ginsburg says that his decision has not affected sales of his regularly priced clothing. He says that offering at the outlet center now includes 30% new merchandise.
Moe Ginsburg took the ultimate step last January when the "vertical store" opened its own 10,000-square-foot Outlet Clearance Center.
The new department actually tops off the six-floor operation at 162 Fifth Avenue and it's expected to become a $3 million business over the next year.
