NEW YORK -- Joe Barlow has joined Harrison James, the upscale men's specialty store here, as president and general manager. He succeeds Alan Katzman who has left the company. Most recently, Barlow was vice-president and GMM of Revillion, a Paris-based luxury firm. Before that, he was general manager of Sulka's Chicago store. He also worked in product development for Sulka in New York.

Reached by telephone, Barlow said that in addition to running the store, he will also be in charge of advertising, marketing and product development. Without being more specific, he said the company is in the midst of some restructuring which will "put a different spin on the business."
