NEW YORK -- Saks Fifth Avenue is continuing its expansion into Texas. The New York-based retailer will open a 175,000-square-foot, full-line store in the Dallas Galleria in the fall of 1999. It will replace a 117,000-square-foot Saks store in the mall and will be located in the former Marshall Field's space. In addition, Saks will open a new 100,000-square-foot, full-line store in Fort Worth in the fall of 2000.
The unit, which will be located at North East Mall in Hurst, will mark the retailer's entry into the Fort Worth market. The company is also scheduled to complete an expansion and renovation of its existing San Antonio full-line store by November.
