ON BOARD FOR THE NEW SPORTSWEAR LAUNCH, MARTY STAFF IS TAKING HUGO BOSS BACK TO MAGIC
NEW YORK -- Marty Staff, the new president and CEO at Hugo Boss USA since late May, is a people person.
It's written all over him and it's the way he's running the American subsidiary of the $670 million German company. He intends to change it from "production and administrative to a sales-and-marketing-driven company."
Seated in the window-walled Hugo Boss USA office on Fifth Avenue, Staff, 47, agrees he has a big job ahead. The subsidiary's business, at $90 million, has been flat for the past three years. The parent company's global business, meanwhile, has been exploding and last year it racked up a 14 percent increase in sales.
