CALVIN APPOINTS GARDNER CREATIVE DIRECTOR.(Brief Article)

NEW YORK -- Calvin Klein Inc. has named Tim Gardner its creative director of design, a new post. Previously, Gardner was senior designer director of women's products.

In his expanded role, Gardner, 52, will provide senior creative direction across all Calvin Klein collections and products. He reports to Klein and Tom Murry, president and chief operating officer.

Gardner joined Klein in 1996 as design director and was promoted to senior design director the following year. He previously held a senior creative position at Trussardi, the Milanese fashion house.
