As apparel retailers struggle to develop their businesses online, unlike other areas of e-commerce, they have to deal with the issues of sizing and fit. Whether or not an apparel item will fit properly is one of the main deterrents, if not the main one, when shopping for apparel online. Return rates for catalogs and e-commerce sites are higher than at brick-and-mortar retail.
