NEW YORK -- Some of the most dynamic and innovative new fabrics of the 0 Decade will probably not come from a loom or a knitting machine. They will not be made in the traditional ways; instead, if the technology now in place is as revolutionary as its creators feel it is, these will be the most engineered and modern fabrics yet to be seen in clothes.
The fabrics will have names such as Nova, Evolon and Miratec, as well as others not yet trademarked.
They will be nonwoven apparel fabrics comparable in performance and price to traditional woven and knit fabrics, but which will offer many more properties, features and, in particular, combinations that ordinary fabrics do not.
