MILAN -- Got glam?
The bad boys from Boogie Nights are on the prowl. And so is Mick Jagger, Andy Gibb, even Barry Manilow. The look here is blown-out, teased, greased back, tousled and generally overstated. And that's just the hair.
The peacock is back and no buttoned-down white shirt and pinstripe suit can stand in his way. The week's early slate of runway shows are awash in color, floral prints and enough see-through material to warm the heart of any fashion exhibitionist.
What's at work here is nothing less than a cacophony of late '70s influences: Solid Gold, St. Tropez, Richard Avedon and Robert Mapplethorpe. The fashion moment is about a man who's screaming "Look at Me!"
