Who says you can't sell luxury merchandise on the Web? Not Saks Fifth Avenue.
Since launching its online store on Aug. 15, Saksfifthavenue.com, the results have exceeded expectations and the retailer is poised for a strong holiday season.
"So far we're very happy," said Denise Incandela, chief operating officer of e-commerce. "Nobody knows how big this market can be, but we continue to take it very seriously and will devote the resources it takes to be the very best that we can."
