VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- Tom Brown is taking his 17th Street Surf Shop chain to a new level.
On Aug. 25, Brown opened his first Pride shop in Wilmington, N.C. Using the name of 17th Street's three-year-old private-label surfboard line, Pride is a new retail division for locations south of the existing 17th Street shops, which include three in Virginia Beach, four more in Virginia and one in Kill Devil Hills, N.C.
