Maybe a few men really do buy Playboy for the articles. But for the fashion?

While that may sound far-fetched, Hugh Hefner's long-running magazine is upping its commitment to men's fashion by increasing the number of editorial pages in the section, spending more money on photography and placing a new emphasis on celebrity-oriented features.

The July issue features pop singer Joe McIntyre -- the former New Kid on the Block who's having a surprisingly successful adult career -- in a whimsical, six-page fashion layout called "So You Want to Be a Star," shot by Andre Rau. In it McIntyre sports clothes from Gucci, Roberto Cavalli, DKNY, Hugo Boss and Girbaud, among others.
