NEW YORK -- Brooks Brothers has gone high-tech with what is being billed as "the ultimate evolution in tailored clothing."

The venerable 183-year-old New York-based specialty store chain has taken a dramatic step in custom clothing with the introduction of its exclusive Digital Tailoring body-scanning system that will be formerly introduced today at its Madison Avenue flagship.

According to Joe Gromek, CEO, "This is about the way people shop today. It's not only affordable mass custom, but the way men dress." During a soft opening last week, he said, a large percentage of the men trying the process were "the new 35-year-old Brooks customer."

"We can deliver a custom suit in 12 working days," he said. "And that's what tailored clothing...
