ATLANTA -- Men's wear retailers at the Atlanta Men's Market last week filled in on best sellers in their stores right now -- namely, denim, athletic-inspired apparel and contemporary sportswear looks -- and also started spring buying.
But business remains tough. As Cliff Greene, owner of Flava Fashions, Macon, Ga., summed it up: "It's a struggle. We have to be careful." Most retailers said that although business is down, they're hoping holiday sales will give them the needed push to get them through the year.
According to Jason Douglas-Harris, director of apparel trade shows, buyer attendance was up 18.5 percent at the show, which was held Oct. 20-22 at AmericasMart.
