NEW YORK -- Sports enthusiasts and philanthropists alike converged on Madison Square Garden last week for the 13th Annual Starlight Children's Foundation Celebrity Sports Auction.
Amid hot dog and pretzel vendors, star-struck children and adults mingled with legendary sports figures and celebrities including Walt Frazier, New York Knick Charlie Ward, New York Giant (and party hopper) Tiki Barber, Sopranos star John Ventimiglia, Law & Order's Jesse Martin and comedian Denis Leary, who turned out in support of the children's charity.
Frazier, who was honored by Starlight for his personal dedication to seriously ill children, paid particular attention to his pint-sized fans. "The kids are the best part of the night," he said.
