SARS and political instability in the Middle East have cut its list of exhibitors, but the WorldSource show will still be open for business at the Javits Center in New York from June 2-4.
Sixty-five exhibitors from more than 20 countries are expected at the two-year-old show, which is operated by the National Association of Men's Sportswear Buyers (NAMSB). WorldSource, whose motto is "Contacts into Contracts," connects U.S. apparel firms and retailers with overseas production partners.
A sampling of exhibitors includes B.H.I.S. Apparels, a Bangladesh-based specialist in men's shirts and T-shirts; La Internacional of Ecuador, for sweaters and wool jackets; Cogimex, of France, a denim expert; and Ducgiang Import Export Garment Co. of Vietnam, a maker...
