NEW YORK -- Reebok opened its first men's-only concept store last Thursday, at 160 Columbus Avenue on Manhattan's Upper West Side. The 2,400-square-foot shop carries a wide range of Reebok apparel, footwear, bags and exercise accessories in a bright, modern space that adjoins a women's concept shop that opened last March. There is a passway between the two stores.

"The store has the feeling of a very stylish men's gym," said Anderson McNeill, Reebok's vice-president of retail -- which is fitting, considering that the posh Reebok Sport Club/NY occupies the building above the two stores.

Conceived by Kramer Design Group, the shop features floors made from end-cut oak tiles, a large tri-vision billboard on the rear wall and five plasma television...
