NEW YORK -- Ron Klein will return to Macy's East as chairman and CEO on Feb. 15, succeeding Hal Kahn, who will retire after a 10-year run at the helm of Federated Department Stores' largest division.
Klein, 55, is currently chairman and CEO of the Atlanta-based Rich's/Lazarus/Goldsmith's-Macy's division. A onetime vice-chairman of Macy's East, his men's wear credentials include experience as senior vice-president of Federated Merchandising Group with responsibility for men's, young men's and children's, later adding home, and general merchandise manager of men's at Foley's.
