TORONTO -- Since joining Holt Renfrew in 1999, Andrew Jennings has raised the stature of the Toronto-based specialty store chain by focusing on luxe and contemporary men's labels as well as women's. And he's expected to work the same magic in his new position of chief merchant of Saks Fifth Avenue, according to industry observers.

Last week Saks tapped Jennings, president and managing director of Holt Renfrew Specialty Store Group, to become its president and chief merchandising officer. He will report to Fred Wilson, CEO of Saks, who has been elevated to chairman and CEO. ...
