BOSTON -- Wrangler, Starter and George are in the men's wear starting lineup for Walmart.com's relaunched apparel department.

The retailer, which hasn't sold so much as a T-shirt online in three years, fired up its home page July 20 with images of fall product and placed a large, jaunty ad on Yahoo's home page proclaiming: "It's Here! Apparel online at Walmart.com." Registered users were alerted by e-mail as well.

With that, the Bentonville, Ark., retailer positioned itself to grab a slice of the mushrooming $8 billion online apparel market.
