LOS ANGELES -- The expansion of the Forum Shops at Caesars, a work in progress for almost two years, is slated for completion later his month.

The 175,000-square-foot, three-level addition, slated to open on Oct. 22, will add 60 upscale retail shops to the mix. It's the second expansion for the Forum Shops, owned by Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group.

The complex originally opened in May 1992 at 283,000 square feet. The first addition, which increased the size to 500,000 square feet, was completed in August 1997. Construction on the current project, which extends the retail real estate from the existing stores to Las Vegas Boulevard, began in January 2003.
