NEW YORK -- Valentino is forging ahead with its new global business strategy to extend the brand in both Asia and the United States.
The company's latest step was put forth last week with the appointment of a new Asia-Pacific chief executive officer, Giovanni di Salvo. Stationed in the Hong Kong offices, di Salvo will report to Michele Norsa, CEO of Valentino SpA.
"Giovanni will be a very important person for the development of Asia," Norsa said. Di Salvo was previously the CEO of Prada's Asia-Pacific operations.
