Cherokee Inc. delivered an 8.2 percent net income gain to $4.4 million, or 49 cents a share, for the fourth quarter from $4 million, or 46 cents, in the prior period, as revenue soared 16 percent to $9.9 million from $8.5 million. For the yearend period, net earnings climbed 6.4 percent to $18.3 million, or $2.07, from $17.2 million, or $1.97, in the pervious year, as revenue rose 9.8 percent to $42.7 million from $38.9 million. The company said international revenues jumped 12.1 percent to $14.7 million, "representing 34 percent of our total revenues in fiscal 2006." The company also said worldwide annual retail sales of Cherokee-branded products "exceeded $2.5 billion" last year.
