ATLANTA - The mood was upbeat at the Americasmart Alpha show here June 25-27, with numbers up in all areas-exhibitors, attendees and orders.

The show, which featured collections in active lifestyle, boardsports, casual lifestyle, high-end designer, contemporary and streetwear, boasted about 25 percent more exhibitors than last year, according to Chuck Corvi, men's show project manager. And attendance was up about one-third over last year, he said.

"The new Edge section has generated a lot of interest," said Corvi. With the theme of "contemporary attitude," the Edge showcased high-end contemporary denim and other collections, and scored an increase of about 50 booths. On-site artists creating original artwork for Miskeen...
