MILAN - Avon Celli has a new owner.
Doritex, a knitwear manufacturer located just outside the Northern Italian city of Brescia, bought the luxury knitwear trademark late last year from FBP Italia SpA for an undisclosed price.
Doritex's founder and chief, Mario Ferrari, told DNR that the company had transferred production from Avon Celli's historic headquarters in Fidenza to Doritex's facilities near Brescia.
Doritex has specialized in knitwear production for more than 40 years, producing private labels for some of Italy's top designer brands.
