Private equity firm Cerberus Capital Management has sold Fila. Fila Korea Ltd. acquired Fila Luxembourg, which holds the rights to the worldwide use of the Fila brands and trademarks, from Sports Brand International (SBI) Ltd., the company within Cerberus that operated the Italian active apparel company. Terms of the deal were not disclosed but the estimated purchase price was around $350 million.
Armin Broger, currently the CEO of 7 For All Mankind Europe BV, has been tapped to fill the long-vacant president's post at the Europe division of Levi Strauss & Co. at the end of February, succeeding Paul Mason, who departed the company in February of 2005.
