The peripatetic fashion flock seems to have a new architectural obsession: 7 World Trade Center, the first of the iconic towers to be rebuilt after 9/11. The shimmering, parallelogram-shaped office structure has been the site of a series of high-gloss fashion events, including last week's John Varvatos fall runway show.
"We take pride in the small role we are able to play in the reawakening of our downtown community," says the designer, emphasizing that he wanted to show his support for the district while he could. The drop-dead views from the 45th floor of the 52-story tower probably didn't hurt either.
