IBM's Mixed Object: Document Content Architecture (MO:DCA) is the successor to Advanced Function Printing (AFP). Initially, AFP and MO:DCA seem identical. AFP is a successful printing architecture, MO:DCA is an SAA standard for document and data interchange. MO:DCA is used in newer IBM products, such as IBM's ImagePlus imaging and storage system.
