Tandem Computers' ServerNet is a core technology that facilitates rapid and intelligent movement of large amounts of data over a network. The ServerNet architecture evolved from the massively parallel Himalaya servers, and is based on a network connection using multiple high-speed routers. the inexpensive routers are able to quickly switch data directly between multiple sources and destinations.
